The TAG Heuer CAK211A.BA0833 is a new Calibre 72 model and its countdown function (displaying 5, 10 or 15 minutes) is intended for the sport of yachting. Based on the yacht’s class, a race’s starting sequence is divided into 5-minute increments. The boats jockey for position in increments of 5, 10 or 15 minutes before crossing the starting line and initiating the race. The Regatta function enables a countdown timer, which splits time across 5 windows. While TAG Heuer had launched many watches with the Countdown function (known as the Regatta function) over the years, this new Chronograph model brought back the “5-segment” display window that was once only found on the 70’s Heuer Regatta models.
